![]() ![]() ![]() In my experience, the strings can be more lifelike than traditional sample libraries, but less realistic sounding, if that makes sense. I haven't really done much with the strings. I get great results with a Roland Aerophone. If you tweak a wind controller just right, you can get an amazingly lifelike sound with very little post-editing needed. You can get very good results with only 2-3 controllers (dynamics, vibrato, vibrato rate), but you can get super-detailed if you want to dive into the other controllers. I think it depends a lot on musical context and how I'm busing/routing/compressing/reverb-ing everything in my project. When it comes to using them as your primary woodwind instruments in an orchestra made up of more traditional sample libraries, I've had mixed luck - sometimes they sit perfectly in the mix, and sometimes they don't blend well. These excel at solo passages where you want to hear the idiomatic and human details of performance. ![]() I bought the bundle a few years back and they're incredible. ![]()
